Okay - i did a fresh arch install from ubuntu and everything went smoothly until grub-bootloader would not install. I decided to start over, so i rebooted - i kept the usb hooked up and booted off of it. No bootable device found. Tried with the HDD. No bootable device found.
I am running arch. I have a dual monitor setup with my netbook and xfce. The problem is that when I want to move back to a single monitor and move my netbook my panel configuration get's all messed up and when i set it back up again the panel configuration remains borked. Is there anything I can do about this besides switching desktop environments?

So I managed to get arch up and running. Now my main problem is that I can't add any favorites to the dock in gnome-shell, change the time format, or install extensions. For the love of all that is right in the world can someone please help me get over this hurdle?
