Since you found the solution, it would be courteous to explain how you "Managed it" rather than deleting your post. That way other users with the same question will be able to benefit from your solution. You can then mark your thread as solved.
Does your network support ipv6? If not, have you tried disabling it altogether? (I think you can do this temporarily for a single boot by editing the parameters on the kernel command line if you are using something like grub to boot.)
