from so many days am not clear at full wave bridge rectifier calculation.
consider i have used 8-0-8 step up trnasformer and bridge rectifeir is designed.
what will be the voltage at transformer secondery and volatge at bridge rectifier output.
requesting you to help me with clear gud example of full wave bridge rectifier with calculations.
Hi guys I am having trouble simulating a full wave rectifier, i just get a dc signal at the output of 8 volts and in the middle there should be a half wave rectifier present, but I just get a smaller amplitude of the input, a sinusoid. Can someone please tell me whats wrong with it, i can't see it.

Okay, this rectifier is ratted at 1000V 50A and I'm running After rectifying and load 4.4V and between 10 and 15 Amps, but within a minute the rectifier will start smoking, if I am not careful this will be the third one I've been through.
I reapplied the thermal paste hoping there was too much, no luck.

Dear members, I have designed full bridge rectifier for pure sine wave inverter using microcontroller and IR2110. I give 12 V to ir2110 , in start i give 12 V DC to drain of mosfet , worked well with good sine wave , then i have increased voltage to 30 V and then to 60 V , everything fine ( good output sine wave ). Then i have tried to give 300 V DC to drain of mosfet.
It happen to be working with rectifiers (full & half wave) I observed that I could get half wave rectified wave transfer from primary of isolation transformer to secondary but couldn't with full wave rectified AC wave (filters not used).
Could someone pls answer it how.
