Today at Apple’s press event, Apple unveiled updated iMacs. It is much thinner than previous iMacs. It uses friction stir welding for aluminium. The display is now laminated directly to the glass. The optical drive is gone. The 27-inch display resolution is 2560×1440, and 1920×1080 for the 21.5-inch.
Apple today clarified when it will make the new iMacs available finally, after keeping customers waiting about specific shipping timelines since their unveiling.
The iMac is a desktop computer built by one of the World’s great Computer giants, Apple Inc.
Probably many of you didn’t know that ‘i’ in the iMac stands for ‘Internet’.
On July 27,2010 Apple unveiled its new line of iMacs which embodied the new range of Intel Core processors.
Yesterday at the International Solid-State Circuits Conference, Samsung showed their new Exynos chip, which can come in dual-core and quad-core configurations. Frequencies range from 200 MHz to 1.5 GHz, and it’s 32nm part, which is down from 45nm with the previous chip.
As is the case with every big Apple announcement, the Cupertino giant made some bold claims in the middle of the presentation for its latest magical device, The new iPad. Specifically Apple was quick to throw up some graphs showing that its new A5x dual-core processor has four times the graphics processing power when compared with Nvidia’s latest and greatest, Tegra 3 quad-core processor.
Last year saw Intel’s “Core” processors go mainstream, 2011 now sees the second generation of Core processors arriving with cool new features, from ever faster performance, better built-in HD and 3D graphics, quicker video transcoding capabilities and support for wireless transmission of video to HDTVs.
After this past week’s Apple event, one thing stood out to me above all others. And just to make sure, I watched the event again. Same result.
