Some Asian components producers are saying they’ve received orders to ready at least 10 million of the devices for the fourth quarter, about double the number for Amazon’s (NASDAQ: AMZN) Kindle Fire, according to a published report.

So there is an iPad Mini after all. Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) announced the much-anticipated and long-rumored iPad Mini, measuring 7.9-inches (you can hold it in one hand) and less than one pound (.68 pounds, to be exact).

Apple finally seems to be ready to show off a new iPad mini to the world, according to invites it sent out to members of the media today.

With all the hoopla surrounding Wednesday’s expected unveiling of Apple’s (NSDQ: AAPL) iPhone 5, will the company say anything (or if not, even hint) tomorrow about its rumored iPad Mini?
