I feel the community has long needed a clean guide on how to install Grub2 under a a few extremely common scenarios. I will accept answer as solved when it has one section per scenario and assumes nothing other than what is specified. Please add to the existing answer, wiki style, keeping to the original assumptions.

In order to answer a qeustion this morning, I ended up having to log into Gnome. <..:Y..>
Which brings to mind a question I've had for a while, and never discovered the answer to. In both F16 and F17, when opening Nautilus (files) -- after it eventually pops open, the cursor continues to spin (in "busy" mode) for up to 15 seconds.
I need some help deciding how Ubuntu can best help me use Google Voice.
I keep open a browser instance in which I am logged into gmail so that I can answer incoming calls. When a call comes in I have to scramble to find that instance and bring it into focus so that I can answer the call. What would be absolutely great would be to have a pop-up appear that would allow me to answer the call.
I used to have my S3 set up so that when I had my headphones plugged in it would automatically answer in two seconds. Recently I noticed that it didn't automatically answer and when I looked through setup, I could no longer find the option. Did they take this feature out in the latest firmware update? I used this when riding my motorcycle and found it to be a great way to answer the phone.
I'm running JB and loving it...one thing that I hate is the little unlock theme when I'm receiving a call....Although when I swipe to answer, the slider freaks out and ignores the call. It's very frustrating when a client is calling and I go to answer, but instead ignore them!
From time to time on my stock, unrooted phone I will receive a phone call, but will be unable to answer. I have to turn off and on the screen using the power button, then I can slide it over to answer.
Anyone else experiencing this our how to resolve it?

So my phone got pretty wet recently (over a week ago). It seemed to work OK immediately afterwards but the past 2 days its been acting up. As of right now, I cant answer or make any calls. I can see calls come in but when I slide the icon to answer it, it locks up and reboots almost instantly. It only does it when I go to answer the call, not if I hang up on the incoming call.
