Is there anybody with experience of CADO systems database or Just Ask query language? We have a legacy application which we want to migrate. I can see the data files but where are the database definitions? I have no knowledge of Just Ask except that it was the query langauge used. I don't even know if Just Ask is installed on the system.
I'm trying to install and configure cassandra programmatically using a shell script.
I install cassandra, run ./cassandra and then I try to load the schema using cassandra-cli --host localhost -f <schema-file>. The problem is that it tries to load the schema before cassandra is up and throws an exception. Is there any way to know when cassandra is up and running?
Tried to yum up this morning and apache-cassandra11 does want to go as it has a dependancy to python version 2.6 where that last version of cassandra (apache-cassandra11-1.1.2-1) is fine with the python version (2.7.3) I have on my f17 system. Is there a way to fix this to install the latest cassandra (apache-cassandra11-1.1.4-1)
In recent months, we have converted to a new software application. The migration team (vendor) left the old database intact. They converted some of the old data to an "archive" database using the new-vendor's database structure.
I have this android project that gets information from the database using JSON. Now, my problem is how can I update an existing data from the database (let's say I want to update the "status" column which has a value of "0" and I want to make it "1"). Is that possible?
