http://ubuntuforums.org – this isn't any kind of software issue. it's not about how to get adobe flash properly working, or what kind of graphics adapter i have. i just can't connect to youtube. i tried different browsers, cleared my hosts file and restarted, but still nothing. even if i try to ping www.youtube.com i get 'unknown host' i can connect to any other website. AND, i can connect to youtube on the same machine, as long as i reboot into windows. i though it'd be something i bricked, so i tried booting from a debian live cd, and a ubuntu live cd, and i still can't get youtube. so, it's not the (Hardware)

Stories similar to anybody else having problems with youtube?

I use the live Ubuntu disc a lot. Doing that, I'd like to have YouTube play me some background music.

When I go to YouTube, I can't watch any vids because it says it's missing plugins. (and I can't install those on the live disc). However, when I see a youtube video embedded on another website, it actually is possible for me to watch it! It's kinda weird and really interesting.

I have been using youtube-dl to download videos from YouTube, but suddenly it stopped working:

youtube-dl "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wglrcytdE9Y&feature=related"

Hi! Yesterday i rooted my KFHD. I did install Play Store, Framework.apk, Youtube, Loginservices.apk. I was able to login (and i did it) via Youtube. But after reboot, youtube always gets error (Youtube stopped working) and Framework.apk also gets an error and stops. I tryed to reinstall Youtube and Framework.apk but it didn't help. Should i move Youtube and framework APK's to system/app folder?

I am using youtube-dl to download some videos from youtube. But when I write:

youtube-dl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn_YodiJO6k

I get:

What am I doing wrong?

Have a Verizon Razr Maxx ICS (not rooted) and the YouTube app is provided with the normal v-bloatware. When I run the app I am automatically logged into my YouTube account properly but several times a day I get an alter message at the top of my display telling me my username or password are not correct for YouTube.

i have my phone fully flashed to cricket...but i couldnt watch youtube...i went with a guy and he fixed it or so i thought...it worked well until i restarted my phone...it says "unable to connect to server" i tried it on wifi nd the app works fine...tried the youtube website nd its the same...i really dont want to pay another 20 bucks for it...any suggestions?
