The last few weeks has been quite a nail-biter for owners of various ASUS-branded tablets. While ASUS manufactures the mouthwatering Jelly Bean-powered Nexus 7 tablet, immediate speculation came regarding ASUS’ existing tablets and whether or not they too would get some Android 4.1 lovin’ too.
I downloaded OS 4.0 and wonder if I can expect any problems if I install it. I want my cameras and that seems to be the only problem some have encountered. I got my upgrade to 4.0 off the tablets upgrade option in SETTINGS, so I assume it is the Samsung upgrade. Would appreciate any advice.
What would the procedure be to return to the original OS I now have (Android 3.2)?
I've recently bought a generic chinese tablet, it says it uses DDR3 ram, I've got a few 1gb DDR3's laying around my room and was wondering if it was possible to do that upgrade? I would try it now but I don't know how to take the case off of this damn thing ._. when I figure it out I'm going to try it and I'll update this thread.
Well, the tablet wars seem to be hotting up with Google/Asus/Samsung releasing the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 32Gb and Nexus 10 tablets! Followed hot on the heels with he Asus Padfone 2!
I'd love a 32Gb Nexus 10 but the price-tag puts it right out of my reach right now. The 32Gb 7 is more affordable but the lack of a back facing camera means sorry, no sale...
I installed the 12.04 upgrade from the upgrade manager from 11.10 and now I have multiple problems . Printing has ceased to work , Glipper keeps dying , Nautilus gives a black background where in the list of files panel and the games Iagno and Quadrapassel have regressed . I really wish that I had not pressed the upgrade button . Is there any way to completely back out the 12.04 upgrade ?
I am trying to upgrade my 11.04 Ubuntu to a newer version. 11.04 has been by far the most stable and appreciable one so far for me, but I'd like to give my computer a little change.
However, when I go to Update Manager and click upgrade, it tells me I have network connection problems... meanwhile I am here writing this post on the internet, so I don't get it.
Is the Google Nexus 7 not your cup of tea? Prefer your tablet bigger, bolder and brighter? If so then my fellow Brits have cause for celebration as Asus has today announced that the top-of-the-range Transformer Infinity is inbound.
According to an Engadget tipster, it looks like AT&T is going to stop offering discounted, on-contract tablets as of today. They will still be selling off-contract tablets at full-price, however, but say goodbye to carrier tablet subsidies.
I only noticed after the recent 4.2 update that I am now able to connect my Plantronics Bluetooth earpiece from work to the tablet, before I could pair it but it wouldn't connect. I use Google voice with GrooveIP to make and receive calls on the tablet so the earpiece would be a killer addition *but* all I can get the earpiece to do is 'beep' when making a call.
