Which is the most current stable version of the Anthrax kernel available for the Evo V? I am currently on the latest Mobster ROM and want to flash the Anthrax kernel with it to overclock. I flashed the Mobster ROM already, but the cpu maxes out at 1188 MHz. I flashed the Anthrax kernel version 3.04, but when I downloaded it there were newer kernels, but I wasn't sure which one to download.
Phoronix: AnthraX Linux Kernels Remain Closed Source
AnthraX, a kernel used by some for their mobile Android devices as an alternative to the stock kernels or those from other open-source Android projects for reportedly offering better performance and functionality, is still refusing to release the kernel's source-code even though it's based on the Linux kernel and subject to the terms of the GPL
I flashed this ROM on my Evo yesterday along with the latest Anthrax kernel and I have to say this ROM is pretty nice. It is basically a tweaked and themed Sense stock ROM. The only place that I know that you can get it is over on the Anthrax site so no links because you have to be a certified member of the site. So for any of you that are maybe you'll want to try this ROM out.
Earlier today I was stuck in a bootloop after flashing what I thought was latest Anthrax kernel. Needless to say I am no longer stuck in a bootloop thanks to the help of some boardies here. I was beginning to think I was going to have to call VM for a replacement. Thanks again to the boardies that helped me out.
Ever since I flashed the newest Anthrax kernel ky phone has been shutting off randomly, it usually happens when I have a couple of apps opened and say I try to make a call or open the stock sms app. It also turns off on most night so I wake up with a powered off phone. What could the issue be?
Ok so I flashed over to Myn's Warm twopointthree Rom for the Evo 3D (absolutely my favorite ROM). I'm s-off with hboot (1.04 or something like that) I decided I wanted to try anthrax kernel (3.1.08 or something lol) with it, so I flashed over that kernel. Upon reboot, I was stuck on the HTC screen. No biggie, guess the kernel wasn't compatible with the ROM.
