Well folks, it looks like we’re getting closer and closer to seeing Google’s Nexus tablet a reality. We were among the first to tell you that Google planned on introducing its tablet at Google I/O next week, but now we have some additional details adding to this excitement.
A couple of months ago there were reports that a $99 Nexus 7 tablet might be in the works, but after the Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 was announced, the news on that all but disappeared. Some sites are now reporting that it’s coming sooner rather than later because an ASUS made 7-inch tablet just showed up in the GLBenchmarks under the model ME-172V.
When Windows 8 Surface tablets launch this fall, maybe Microsoft should steal a page from the Google Nexus 7 tablet launch: Microsoft should sell Surface tablets mainly online and keep inventories low to ensure initial tablet shipments “sell out.” Here’s why.
Google’s 16GB Nexus tablet, which counters Amazon’s Kindle Fire, apparently is sold out.
Hello!
I want to buy myself a tablet. This would be my first tablet! I want to know what would be the best tablet that cost less than $ 400, or at least around $ 400!
I use a tablet to play games, watch movies .. and that's all.
Of course, some broswing. I thought I take Nexud 7 32 GB + 3 G. After, I found the Asus Transformer 300 and I was thinking and Nexus 10.
Now that a 7-inch, Nexus branded tablet has appeared at the FCC with some updated specs, are you interested in getting a new one? I'm pretty excited as this was exactly what I was waiting for to go full on Google across my devices. I've already ordered a Nexus 4, I currently own a Samsung Chromebook, and now a new Nexus 7 is just around the corner.
According to a new report from The Next Web today, Google is readying a number of new devices for announcement at the event it recently announced for October 29, including new Nexus tablet hardware and Android 4.2 features.
Google’s latest Nexus-branded hardware went on sale in Europe today. The Nexus 4 smartphone and Nexus 10 tablet were both due to be available today on the Play store, alongside the refreshed Nexus 7 tablet. But it appears that the newest Nexus hardware is selling out fast.
And from left field comes a wild rumor. Digitimes is reporting today, citing unnamed sources, that Google and Asus are preparing the next generation of Nexus 7 tablets. There are two versions on tap: A $199 and $99 version. These tabs are reportedly scheduled for a late 2012 release as a counter to Apple’s expected 7.85-inch iPad mini.
Additional details are nonexistent.
There has been a lot of speculation on a Google Nexus tablet over the last year or so, and things really started heating up this past week when news came out that Google is working on a 7-inch tablet to go head to head with the Amazon Kindle Fire and Barnes & Noble Nook series. If this in fact true, the big question is who is making it?
