How can I add a tab underline that follows the swipe like in the google play store. For now the tab line only moves when I finish the swipe. Also how can i add a background between fragments while swiping.
I'm stuck with this problem. I'm trying to insert the swipe between the various fragments of my app. The swipe itself works perfectly but the problem, and I do not understand why, is that the actions that I have defined in various fragments are not recognized by the various toggle / buttons etc.
I've created a swipe view with tabs as described in the android documentation several times before. In fact, stepping through the Eclipse project wizard pretty much sets you up with the basic ui using a ViewPager.
My question is this:
The application I'm building will only be supporting as far back as Android 4.0 (API level 14). So, I was considering ditching the support package altogether.
Since the Tabhost is deprecated by android, an suggest way to implement tab is to use fragment and pager. However, pager is introducing "swipe-able" views.
I am designing to implement an application. It uses tabs with multiple pages, and also has navigation drawer when swipe from edge.
I think both navigation drawer and pagers are swipe-able will introduce some trouble when users using it (i.e.
i have a problem by swiping between two fragments. one fragment should display a google map v2 and the other one should display only a picture. its still working but the fault is, that the supportmapfragment is displayed twice. once fix in the background and a moveable in the foreground. that means that fragment A shows the map twice and when i swipe to fragment B, it displays both fragments.
I am implementing A view pager with Tab navigation in the action bar and am having a problem when swiping the screen vs. touching the tabs to navigate through the fragments. Originally the tabs are highlighted when their corresponding fragment is visible. When I click on an unhilighted tab to navigate, the highlight changes correctly and so does the fragment.
