I need to develop my app with multiple screen size support.
I recently watched youtube tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8dGQEN9sRs
In the video it demonstrates how to create a new android.xml file and select the option for size and it automatically chooses a screen display size for graphic layout in the xml.
I am working on an android app. I want to create layout for different screen size for the same application. i have created different folder layout-large, layout-xlarge. But it not showing effect according it .when I am modifying xml in layout-large it is not showing changes. Please suggest some solution. any help will be appreciated.
I am going to develop new application in Android. This application should only work in portrait (even for tablet). Also the UI and layout design should be similar on phones and tablet. We can't change the layout design for tablet as it has huge area to use. We have to stretch all the images to match phones. We can use nine patch. But I am little bit confused of using images in multiple drawables.
I have read the documentation and some questions but I can't find any answer. This is my first full-blown app and I want it to at least render properly on different screen sizes so I used dp for units and sp for textviews. I have tried it on different devices and different avd's. I have observed that that on most devices, screen size is directly proportional to density.
