I am investigating Bluetooth Low energy technology on Android platform for my project. Towards this, I would like to know whether there are plans to provide native Bluetooth low energy support in Android SDK. Is anybody working on the same? If yes, when will it be available?
I came across the link of broadcom which talks about Open Bluetooth Low Energy SDK from Broadcom for Android.
The Bluetooth SIG (special interest group) announced & formal adoption& of Bluetooth 4.0, which includes a new LE (low-energy) mode. Allowing devices to operate for more than a year on button batteries, the spec will let controllers wake host devices within three milliseconds and transfer data at 1Mbps, the organization says....
