I've published an Android app which communicates with a C# server app via UDP. I've implemented an "Auto Connect" feature which does broadcasting and receives an answer from the server. Once an answer received by phone, the phone app holds the sender IP and sends subsequent messages to this IP directly.
I'm trying to build an android client application that sends data regarding gestures that the user performs, to a Java server, using Bluetooth.
When the user performs a gesture, the app sends data about it to the pc.
For example (android client send) 5:-24:2, (java server receive) 5:-24:2.
As long as the gestures are performed long range between themselves, the code works fine.
I am using PIC18F87J11 and RN42 Bluetooth module with 38400 baud rate. I made an android app that connects to the Bluetooth module and sends some data from my phone to the Micrcontroller. Everything is good but I noticed sometimes I lose some data. The PIC18 is expecting about 100 characters, if the app sends those 100 characters there are no issues, but sometimes it sends about 98 characters.

I'm writing my first Android app with PhoneGap 2.5; the app is straight simple, just read local gps coordinates and send them to a remote server along with some device data (uuid, android version) and some input fields.

My app picks up the GPS location of the user every 5 minutes, saves it and then sends it to a server.
The problem I'm facing is I need the data stored on the android SD card to be Crypted so no one except me on the server can access it.
