For some reason I get alerts AND notifications for calendar events. I get an alert at the event's specified reminder time (10 minutes before or whatever) at which point I'm asked to either snooze or dismiss the alert. This is what I want. But then I also get a notification in the status bar. This is what I don't want. But I get both.
I have a quick question. I have a mytouch 4g and I am not new to android. Ive also had an iPhone. If anybody has seen pictures of ios 5 notification center, it groups the notifications. For an example all the phone notifications would be together, as well as messages and whatever else. If your not sure what I'm talking about then just look up ios 5 notification center on google.
I am doing reminder in my application.
I have to search the events for current date in my local database and raise the alarm.
How can I do this reminder functionality?
Hi,
new to android and the s3 is my first one after iphone4.
liking the phone but think I found a bug. if someone else wants to test it that would be good as it caught me out already.
1.using s-voice set a reminder for a time say 8pm. all good can see it in tasks with a reminder time set.
2. 8pm comes and goes with no reminder
3.
I created a simple Status Notification that is launched via AlarmManager. Everything works fine (the content of the notification, the title, the activity being launched when it is tapped, etc.). Unfortunately, when the notification is called (ie, AlarmManager goes off), an empty activity is launched and displayed. The activity simply has the name of my app and its icon in the status bar.
Each time I set up a new event in S planner, I have to manually add a reminder which is pretty annoying because most I like to have a a notification for most events I create.
Is there anyway to set up S planner so that each time I create a new event, the reminder field is automatically set to 15 minutes?
Thanks
Hi guys,
Is there any way to make our status bar longer / wider ? It really irritates me that some notifications do not show up on the status bar (like GMail, Facebook, Tapatalk etc.), because there are other apps occuping the place in status bar permanently (like CPU Usage Monitor, Battery Indicator Pro, Tasker or Avast! Mobile Security).
I stumbled across a little something today that I love.
You know how when you download an app and it starts putting notifications in the status bar but doesn't tell you which app is from? Well with JellyBean is really easy to find out which app is doing it and even turn off the notification without uninstalling the app.
1 When you get the unnamed notification tap and hold it.
Hello. and Help. Exchange calendar seems to sync great. I use reminders for calendar appointments that seems great too. However if I snooze the reminder (notification) I never see it again? Why?
