I thought I'd be able to tether my phone with legal apps such as foxfi. I can't seem to use it, and a number of sources have told me that i still need to enable the wifi tethering service with verizon in order to get those apps to work. but that conflicts with the above link!

Well, up until recently I was using Open Garden for my tethering needs. Now fir some reason K cannot even get it to establish a WiFi signal, let alone even attempt to try and connect my tablet to it.
I know some people have complained of the standard "tethering warning" that can occasionally come up, but i have never seen that.

Used is cool. I'll consider Android, iOS and Windows Mobile. I'll try to avoid Symbian and Blackberry OS but I might consider if it hits the correct price spot. No J2ME devices please.
