Issue: When I try to turn on wifi hotspot / tethering I get the following message: "Mobile hotspot is not available or invalid sim"
I searched online and came across this thread, with the following suggestion: Freeze "tethering provision" in system apps
So.. i know this gonna sound nooby and stupid but.. I've been thinking about rooting and searching why would most people wanna root their android phones and it turned out to be mainly for getting free wifi tethering or the free hotspot
the quistion is... what exactly is this free wifi tethering i really want to know everything about it.
Hello, I have international verison LG G3 32GB (D855) and cant activate wifi hotspot. I have tried several applications from Google play, all of them fail when trying to turn wifi tethering on. I have no issues with USB-tethering, it works perfectly.

I thought I'd be able to tether my phone with legal apps such as foxfi. I can't seem to use it, and a number of sources have told me that i still need to enable the wifi tethering service with verizon in order to get those apps to work. but that conflicts with the above link!
