According to the release notes, there's supposed to be a 300% pefromance increase in Catalsyt 13.2 Beta. I'm interested in that for obvious reasons but I can't find a 13.2 beta in the AUR or in [testing] so I'm trying to install it manually. I downloaded the installer directly from AMD but it fails with this message in the log:Supported adapter detected.
Here a new fresh openSUSE 11.3 installed where everything works like a charm :)
The only worry I have now is about the default free radeon drivers (r600) where they seems to be working well but clearly it's not same as my past openSUSE 11.2 with fglrx.
I've been trying to install F18 on a Toshiba C870. It has AMD Radeon HD 6625M Graphics on board, which doesn't seem to be supported by the radeon driver included in F18. It is also not supported by the closed source Catalyst drivers (as per the AMD website compatibility list).
When I boot normally, all it shows is a black screen.
