Hi there! The ati graphics-card i have installet in my laptop is HD 5470.
I have installed the drivers both from the repositories AND from System Settings -> Additional Drivers -> ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphics driver. I can locate the Catalyst Control Center, but i cannot open it.

I have installed opensuse 11.2 64bit on my sony-vaio vgn-CR353, with ATI Mobility Radeon X2300 graphic card.
I have a problem with its driver...
when I run sax2, its detect the grapich card, but I can't use any special effect & activate that on Desktop effect, so I'can't activate/use compiz too.

I have agp radeon HD 3450 graphic card. I've tried using proprietary driver but i couldn't do a bunch of stuff, movies stuck, etc.. Anyway now i use open source driver from ubuntu repositories, the one that is installed with system.
My problem is this. Resoluton of the screen that best fits me is 1152x644. But in monitor properties i can't set this resolition. Only 1024x768 and 1280x1024.
I just got a new/used computer with an AMD/ATI Radeon HD 5870 graphics card.
I've installed the default driver, and rebooted, but the end result is worse than with no driver.
