AMD breaks from Windows exclusivity, will develop chips for Android and Chrome OS

http://www.talkandroid.com – Just as the title says, AMD has finally separated themselves from Windows exclusivity and plans on manufacturing chips for Android and Chrome based OS devices. AMD will make chips based on x86 and ARM architecture for both Android and Chrome. While AMD is still “committed” to Windows and will continue to provide chips for the company, I think it’s just near impossible for them to continue to ignore the possibilities and market for Android devices, especially considering the growth the OS has been achieving these past couple of years.
