Even though the holidays are a busy time for everyone, including software developers, the Amarok team was still able sneak in a couple of bug fixes, interface improvements, and a couple of new features. Some of the new features in Amarok 2.2.2 are the reappearance of Custom Labels, moodbar support, easier lyrics editing, new font settings, a new Beats Per Minute filter, and several new improvements to the podcast section. The moodbar, for those of you who haven't heard of it before, is a program which which changes colors depending on the "mood" of the track your playing. The moodbar isn't available by default on Amarok 2.2.2 but instructions on how to install it are available at the Amarok moodbar wiki page. Here is a screenshot of the moodbar in action: (HowTos)
