Alt+Middle drag to resize doesn't work in Precise on a Lenovo T410

http://askubuntu.com – Alt+middle mouse button drag, in Linux, means resize the Window. This works on my desktop install of Precise, but not on my laptop. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T410. When I Alt+middle drag, windows start randomly re-arranging themselves. Here's why: If I run ccsm, I have two relevant options: "Resize Window", then "Bindings". "Initiate Window Resize" seems to be what I want, and it's set to <Alt>Button2. I have three buttons, my middle one seems like it would be button two. "General Options", then "Key bindings": there's one called "Lower Window", and is suspiciously set to <Alt>B (HowTos)
