ok, i just bought a note 2 barely 2 weeks ago. i love it but it seems like the Tmobile version does not have the group messaging as a native app. yes, i can SEND to multiple contacts, and multiple people gets the texts.
I tried Jelly Belly to see if the group messaging worked, but no dice. I can send to a group of iphone users but when I receive the messages they just come in the individual threads. Is group messaging working / figured out yet? If so, is there an apk floating around to download? Thanks!
I have the Samsung Galaxy S3 and ive been using Handcent SMS the past few months because the default messaging app doesnt let you do group chats with iPhone people
With the new update, you can group chat on the Default Messaging app
So heres my question: Which app do you think gets the best better for your Android phone: Handcent or the default Messaging
Hello everyone,
I'm asking a question about Group Text Messaging on my Android device - A Droid 2 running on the Verizon Wireless service provider.
Okay, so there's a group of friends I have - 3 of them have iPhones, and one has a Blackberry. 1 iPhone and the Blackberry are Verizon, the other 2 iPhones are AT&T.
I want to have a group conversation with them....
I have a Samsung Galaxy S II and my phone provider is Sprint... It was a royal pain that I could not reply to all when I received a text message that was sent out to a group of people... I have found that if you download Handcent you can send/receive and reply to all in group conversation threads. Here's how:
1. Download Handcent SMS
2.
Here's the deal. Pretty much everyone I text with any sort of regularity has an iPhone. They will frequently include me in their group messages, not realizing how confusing/frustrating it is to be getting random texts from 6 people at once, not knowing if replying to one of them lets them all see it, etc.
Does anyone know if the One supports the Group Messaging option that is available on stock Android 4.2? I currently have a Nexus 4, which supports this in the stock Messaging app.
I tried flashing the AOSP messaging from the themes sections, but every time I try to start a group texting, the app crashes. Is there an alternative way of getting group messaging?
ps. I know AOSP-based ROMs already have group messaging built in. I was wondering if I could do the same for TouchWiz-based ROMs.
So I am hoping someone else has this issue so I know I am not going crazy:
My phone, a few times of day, the messaging app, stock/hand cent/SMS pop up/go SMS/ chomp, I have tried all of them and they all do the same thing. I will be in the middle of a text conversation with someone and all of the sudden all my texts will disappear and all of my conversations will disappear.
