Alsa driver compile problem

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hello I am owner of a Dell Precision M4600. So far everything runs perfect with Fedora 17 (kernel 3.4.4-3.fc17.x86_64), despite the sound quality. If I turn the sound to a minimum level, it sounds okay, but if I turn the sound louder, the quality is bad compared to windows at the same volume. So I wanted to install the dell-alsa driver from the Dell homepage. Although they say it is for Red Hat Linux 6 i thought it must be possible to install it on newer kernels. But running rpm -ivh dell-alsa-driver-1.0.23-112_dkms.noarch.rpm ended up like the following: Code: Building module: (HowTos)
