My sd card would automatically unmount and mount itself while using the phone, and sometimes wont detect at all. It would do this every few minutes while using or during standby. I formatted the sd many times but doesnt work.
I was using Adata brand on my phone. it started showing me problems when i used a generic cable wire from ebay.
Hi all,
I think my hard disk is going to die sooner or later
(it makes some clicking sounds every now and then
since several months ago).
On another note, I need to format.

computer answers 'unable to mount external USB hard drive'
Recently, I upgraded the RAM and hard drive on my Early 2008 Macbook to improve the performance. Rather than throw away the old hard drive, I bought an enclosure for it to turn it into an external hard drive, and, since all the data was migrated to my new drive, I decided to install Ubuntu on it for funsies (note: I am a near-total Ubuntu n00b).
My laptop is an Acer Aspire and A couple days ago my hard drive went bad and it started out with only a few bad sectors but then completely wouldn't work. Since then I have tried repairing it using Ubuntu and it was unsuccessful on my first hard drive.
This is what I am trying to do. I have a Ubuntu 10.04 LTS as my primary desktop computer. It has 2 hard drives, which are both currently mounted correctly.
The first drive is my OS/Ubuntu drive (150GB). The second drive is a 500GB hard drive where all my files are stored.
I want to be able to share my second drive (500GB) to my macbook.
I'm having trouble installing Ubuntu. I've installed 8.10 before as a dual boot on my machine (Windows XP3) on a 120Gb USB hard disk. My system is set up as : First Hard drive, partitioned to give C: (on which I put Windows XP) D: all my data. 2nd Hard drive: E: a 120Gb usb hard drive, partitioned half and half to give space for backups and for Ubuntu.
My laptop hard disk got crashed. But until I replace I want to do my home works. So I installed Ubuntu 11.10 on 16GB Kingston DT101 G2 pen drive.
My question is, using my pen drive as my regular disk for 1 or 2 weeks is that OK ? Will I get any problems in my pen drive? After I replace my hard disk can I use that pen drive as normal ( just assume I will use my laptop at least 12 hours per day).
