Hi!
I'm going to assemble a new PC. The problem I'm facing is what graphics card to choose so that:
- it will work without problems like freezes, hours spent on configuration etc
- it will support triple monitor setup
- it will be justa a good performance modern graphic card
OS of course latest Ubuntu 64 bit.
Any suggestions?
Graphics Card: NVidia 460 GTX.
Driver: NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version current)
I have one DVI monitor, an old Dell LCD from 2005, and one VGA monitor, an Asus ML238H from 2010 whose HDMI port broke. The Asus is plugged into my graphics card's primary monitor slot and is the better monitor even though it is VGA but my computer defaults to the Dell.
Hi there.
I am new to Ubuntu since about 5 hours ago, and I have a problem using my Nvidia AGP graphics card.
The glowing ubuntu logo shows up but after that my monitor displays a message saying "Out of range 59Hz". My monitors optimal is 60Hz @ 1680 x 1050. This setup works fine on my on-board graphics but not on my Nvidia 7600.
I recently got the MSI GE60 (0NC-084NE) laptop, and after dual-booting it with Ubuntu, I can't get Ubuntu to recognize the graphics card it contains.
Hello!
I'm looking for a bit of help getting a 3 monitor set up using Ubuntu 11.04, I have a (64-bit) DELL Latitude e6420 - specs - The graphics card is an 'Intel® HD Graphics 3000'. I can use the VGA port to add an additional monitor, but I would like to add a further monitor.
I have an HDMI port, but adding a monitor on this doesn't work.
This tutorial is going to show you how to turn on/off the discrete nVidia graphics card on nVidia Optimus Ubuntu laptop.
For now, nVidia Optimus doesn’t support Linux system.
My laptop has both an onboard Intel graphics card and a nVidia GeForce with Cuda and Optimus. I installed Bumblebee and can now run applications on the nVidia card by typing optirun [application name] in terminal.
I am looking to purchase a new video card and I want to run three LCDs side-by-side.
I normally would buy NVidia, but from what I have read, ATI is the leader in multi-monitor with their Eyefinity technology.
My Hardware
My motherboard is a ASRock P67 EXTREME4 GEN3.
I have an ASUS g51vx which has a NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 260M CUDA 1gb graphics card. I have installed ubuntu 9.10 32bit using VMware player running from windows vista 64 bit.
