Hi. I've done some poking around and while I found some threads with HDMI audio issues, none seemed exactly like what I'm experiencing, so I wanted to ask for some help.
My system is a: MythTV Box running 12.04 / .25myth. It's connected to an HDMI receiver that then transmits both audio and video to a 47" 1080p tv.
Hi all,
I posted this thread last week but it seems it ois not showing up anywhere in the forums.
The problem I have is related to my ubuntu/mythbuntu HTPC connected to my Denon AV receiver via HDMI.
Previously, I used to have another AV receiver to which my HTPC was connected via components and I could display 1080i without a problem.
I had a wide screen monitor die on me. :-(
The only other monitor I have doesn't seem to support the wide resolution I had on the big monitor.
When I try to boot it up, using the smaller monitor, it throws an error message "Input Not Supported". It does this using either my video card or my onboard graphics.
Hi Everyone. Total noob here. Looking for help with ubuntu 12.04 running on Acer Aspire 5734z. The OS doesn't seem to be able to run the graphics card (Intel GMA 4500M) as every time I boot ubuntu I need to do a GRUB nomodeset or else I'll get a black screen. (found that out through the forums thanks :) but the system doesn't find any needed drivers...
I have been having lots of issues with 12.04 lately--wireless problems, resolution, not detecting monitor on boot--and haven't been able to resolve any of them. I finally was going to try reinstalling, but even when I boot from a live cd (one that worked when I installed it the first time), after I choose the option to 'install ubuntu', the screen goes blank.
For some reason, my Note 10.1 won't see my DirecTV receiver. I've tried using the DirecTV app for tabs, and the DirecTV Remote+ to no avail. Both my tablet and receiver are on fhe same network, and I have assigned a static ip address to my receiver. They just won'ttalk to each other. I am not rooted, and am running Jellybean.
I am newer to Ubuntu. Recently I bought Intel® Core™ i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz (Intel HD Graphics 2000 display) with Dell IN2030M monitor. I installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS version. My problem is, I can't change my screen resolution >1024 because the monitor was not detected, it says Unknown. Help please.
I just did a fresh installation of Oneiric Ocelot 11.10 on my Acer Aspire One 753 laptop, which on its own seems to be working correctly.
The laptop has the odd display resolution of 1366x768, and I want to connect a video projector to its HDMI port, which has the resolution of 1280x720 (HDTV 720p).
Both (the laptop LCD panel and the video projector) are identified correctly, and are automat
