Recently I was able to increase the left margin between code and line numbers in Gedit (Gnome-text-editor) in Ubuntu 12.10.
I don't recall how I achieved this, neither do I recall how Gedit reverted to the classical margin which is very tight for me. See screenshot:
Does anyone know how I can increase left margin in Gedit 3.6.1?
Thanks
I am using ubuntu10.04LTS and have used gedit so far. I hear that xemacs is another powerful editor. Can anybody please point out if xemacs21 is better than gedit. I intend to use it mainly for writing text files, latex input files, and for writing c/c++ programs. Any other relevant points may also be suggested. Thanks.
The first thing you should always do after installing software (apart from viewing the manpages) is to check and see if it supports plugins. If you are not a programmer or hacker it really is the easiest way to extend capabilities. The Gnome text editor supports this feature out of the box. Here's three of the best.
Gedit is a text editor. The Gedit homepage list its full feature set..
I am a total beginner to android-development so please bare with me on this.
This is my sad attempt at writing a simple "Whack-a-Mole"-game. The UI consists of 9 buttons with no caption. A timer randomly picks one of the buttons that has to be clicked by the user (button gets caption "X"). If the user picks the correct button he gets 10 points.
Okay so I have a horizontal Relative Layout on a ListView and I want a margin between the different Rows on the ListView but I have one problem. I have a button that is being pushed to the far right and I want the click zone to be as big as possible. If there was no margin on the root element of relative layout I would be fine and my button would take up the entire height of the row.
Hi all,
First post. Using Ubuntu for over a year now. Like it a LOT! :D
I was using 10.04 32-bit (with gedit 2) then switched to 12.04 32-bit (with gedit 3).
I use gedit for writing HTML and CSS. There is a plugin (gedit-plugins) called "snippets" which helps me a lot.
Most of the applications we use daily, have a lot of features but actually most of the features remains unused (in many cases). Those features/options are actually nothing but distraction, specially when it comes to writing (I mean creative writing).
I declared an id for a Button in .xml with @+id/but1, but from .java I can't access when pressing SHIFT+SPACE after writing:
Button b = (button) findViewById(R.id.
It's just not showing the id, if I type it manually it shows an error.
Please give a solution.
I have an Acer Aspire 4330 with Ubuntu installed. The keyboard has a few extra buttons, some of which are accessed by the Fn button, and looks like the one in this image: here, though in addition to those shown are 4 buttons on the side: wifi toggle, vol +, vol -, and what I guess is bluetooth toggle...
-but what my question is: is how could I enable the additional buttons in Ubuntu?
