My laptop (Dell Inspiron 17R 5720) came with preinstalled Ubuntu 11.10. I removed it and installed 12.04. Now I can't find driver for wireless. Apparently, in 11.10 there was Broadcom-STA driver. But in 12.04 there is no additional drivers to install. I tried using:
I just installed Ubuntu 12.04 (dual boot, kept Windows just in case) on my new Acer Aspire One 756-877. As soon as I installed it I also installed the Broadcom driver, since wifi wasn't working, and that solved it right away.
I am trying to develop application related with Bluetooth low energy for my htc one (802t). I need to connect a bluetooth low energy device, and I used HTC official SDK, but is can't work.it shows "Could not find class 'com.htc.android.bluetooth.le.gatt.BleGattID', referenced from method com.htc.sample.ble.hrm.BluetoothHrmClient.".
Does anyone know the best way to detect Bluetooth LE advertisements on a Android device? I need to only retrieve the service UUID and RSSI value from the advertisement packet, I don't need to connect with the device--If this makes a difference. Do I need to use one of the vendor specific Bluetooth API's like Broadcom for a device that contains a Broadcom bluetooth module?
