I need help creating the driver for the RealTek RTL8111DL network interface built into my motherboard - MSI 770-C45. I've downloaded the driver from the RealTek website, and followed the directions in the readme to extract the compressed package, change directory to the new directory.
Hello,
I've recently installed 12.04 x86 on my Samsung R720 however the sound I'm hearing is "tinny" and flat - this problem isn't usual as when I first boot up a new install of Windows I have this problem so I have to install the Realtek HD drivers however I'm experiencing problems achieving this.
I've downloaded the drivers v3.0 Linux from the Realtek website (5.17rc1) and export
I have an Asrock A330GC, with onboard ethernet, and an Engenius PCI card for wifi.
I installed ubuntu server 9.10 no problems, and it picked up my ethernet in the installation with no difficulties.
I couldn't get 9.10 to do what i wanted, so I tried installing 8.4 instead. This however didn't pick up any of the drivers, so i couldn't get online.

It's an onboard NIC on an ASUS P5 series. Don't remember the exact model off the top of my head. If you stay tuned I can get you the output when I get home. Dmesg is also always indicating the driver is loaded.
Just downloaded the latest version of Ubuntu and installed it clean from cd on bare drive. I get no recognition of my network and onboard network hardware. Everything I've been reading says v12.04 fixed the driver issues with the Realtek RTL8111E.
I'm new to Linux and I'm seeing Ubuntu as my escape from the Microsoft trap. I really want this to work. Any advice? How do I fix this?
I have a problem with an HP-Mini 210 which has a Realtek Ethernet interface and a Broadcom WLAN interface. Now, the problem is that since yesterday after I did an apt-get update ; apt-get upgrade, the network interface seems not to work anymore.
It stopped working about one hour after I did the update. Now because it's being operated as a webserver I need it back up as fast as possible.
Hi, I bought a USB wireless adapter that uses the Realtek chipset RTL8188CUS.I saw that the drivers are already installed in the "Realtek-firmware" package. So i put the adapter in and it is recognized by the sysytem.I go to the network manager applet and I click "Create new wireless network", than i put in the network name and the WPA password. And here comes the trouble.
I have found that r8169 driver does not work properly with my D-Link Gigabit cardbus adapter which is built on a Realtek chip. I had intermittent connection problems and my log was full of messages "r8169: eth2: link up". Searching Google shows that this is a common problem with r8169 driver. However, latest version of the driver available on the Realtek's website works just fine.
I have recently built a computer with LAN chipset Realtek 8111E, and installed Ubuntu 12.04. I am connected to the Internet via a wired connection, but it is currently not detecting any wireless networks. After downloading and installing a driver from Realtek's website, it still doesn't work. Can anyone help?
