[all variants] Any software can do convert hundred DVDs to NAS

I've been using CDs and 4.5 GB DVDs to record large format camera images, but now I find I need to use larger size DVDs for that purpose.

I had a few Office Depot DVD+R DL DVDs which record at 2.4 X, but I now need to order faster recording ones.

My computer and DVD drive are relatively new having been purchased in the last wo years.

What considerations should I consider in choosing these DVDs

Not sure if this is the right spot for this....

I'm using DvdStyler to author and burn DVDs on Fedora 14 ( I know its outdated :) ). Some of the DVDs I burned with the software work fine but others periodically "freeze-up" during use in my DVD player. I usually use the software to burn .flv video or mpeg-2 to disk. Is this a known problem with the software or is it possible that I have configured the software improperly.

I am a new convert and i am now using Debian Lenny. I have managed to down load a cd but it does not have a lot of facilities. I have tried to download the 5 DVDs but my band width has let me down...Is there any place where I can get free copies or anyone generous enough to send me the 5 Debian DVDs. I don't want to give up the Linux Experience...please :-).

I installed Ubuntu 12.10 on my desktop and Toshiba Satellite laptop. Then, I installed everything shown on the pages for Medibuntu on desktop and laptop.

For several years I've been happily burning files to DVDs using k3b. A couple of months ago I began encountering a problem that now has me completely bewildered. Some recently burned DVDs will not mount in Ubuntu, although they seem to mount fine (and pass integrity tests) on several Macs.

I'd like to play DVDs on my Android TV stick.

I need the ability to input Japanese, and so do a hundred million or so Japanese people. Getting a keyboard with a mere hundred keys to produce stuff like 魑魅魍魎 is not a simple task, and there are competing software packages that offer to do the job.

I'm new to Ubuntu, just installed 9.04. I've figured out most of my problems using the forums, so thanks to all of you that know what you're doing and help out those of us that don't :-)
