My gnome tray doesnt open up anymore if I hold my mouse on the bottom on the screen, nore is it present in the avtivities menu, I can now only access it with 'super + m'. Is this just a change in 3.8 that I wasn't aware of?

I am using 64-bit Fedora 17 and I have a networked HP Color LaserJet 4650dn.
On this printer, Tray 1 is manual feed and Tray 2 is the "real" paper tray.
I do not know for sure when Fedora started sending everything to tray 1 rather than tray 2 (I guess I don't print much), but...
First, i look at my printer configuration by running "system-config-printer".
So, when I start watching a video or something of the like, VLC puts a nice little icon in the tray. The problem is, that when I open and close VLC it keeps adding another nice little icon in the tray.
Here's a SS for example's sake.

Though the second drive is still fine, and I can still write to it until the system crashes from the root drive (

Got my nexus 4 yesterday, very happy with the device except for the sim tray. Eject and insert my vodafone sim card into the phone without any problems. However i tried to eject the sim tray to put a different sim in but the sim tray just wont come out.
Any recommendation on what i should do?
Many thanks.
I wrote an article about installing Radio Tray in Ubuntu Lucid and Maverick. It now turns out that you don’t need to download Radio Tray in order to install in Maverick.
I installed gsynaptics because touchfreeze doesn't work in my suse 11.1, and I would like to automatically launch gsynaptics in the system tray, I inserted it in the startup option of kde4, cheked the proper box on gsynaptics property "open in system tray", but:

Am running 11.2/KDE on dual Athlon 32 bit. On startup the hplip device manager tries to place its icon in the system tray, but this fails with the message "No system tray detected on this system". The system tray is not yet present, but appears moments later.
