Hes on another network and i plan to get it unlocked for him. I understand theres some bloatware on the device & an O2 boot up screen. Is there a rom I can use which will have the normal factory bootup and apps? (General)

i bought an htc incredible 2 it has gingerbread installed. i tried to update it. but update says network error. all other apps including browser uses network fine. please help. i need to update to ICS. Note-It is an unlocked Verizon mobile. not factory unlocked and I'm not in USA.

I bought a Sola today which the store claimed was factory unlocked, but it's not getting any service with my SIM card inserted. I get the following when accessing the Service Menu:

[?] Network [?] Network Subset [?] Service Provider [?] Corporate

I bought an HTC Evo 4g from a friend of mine. I've got it completely set up with all of my information and it's working perfectly. However, his name is plastered all over the lock screen and call screen. It's in the middle of the lock screen on the slide to unlock portion and in the upper left hand corner of the call screen.

The version that I received seems to be an unlocked version from Orange, some french provider (I didn't even receive an English manual) . My phone settings were in French but I reset everything and I get the Orange splash screen, and some icons like the web browser is orange, and there are also some pre-installed orange apps...

I have looked around the various threads (including the 'how to unbrick your prime' one) but have not seen this issue mentioned.

I have a strange issue where if I factory reset (i.e. to Asus) the device will simply keep looping at the ASUS EEE logo, with device is unlocked in the top left hand corner.

I love the fact I can make a folder on my apps page and stuff all the bloat into one folder, leaving me with a nearly empty apps page.

I like Polaris office, but as I understand Kingsoft is also really good for office.

Besides that are their any good bloatware apps?

Hello, I am in a bit of a jam and am trying to find the best way out.

My device is encrypted using the native Android feature. I have Lean Kernel and CleanROM on the device. So it is rooted/unlocked. I was trying to clean the device further by uninstalling some useless apps with Titanium Backup.

I am currently on the $15 a month unlimited texting prepaid plan from TMO w/o data service. I have a semi smartphone (Nokia Nuron 5230) that doesn't have wifi which is all I want. I have wifi everywhere I go, so I do not really need a data plan.
