While the heat of the Desktop Summit 2011 is still remaining, we are already looking for a host for Akademy 2012. Akademy is the annual gathering of the KDE community, one of the largest and most significant in the world of Free and Open Source Software. At Akademy, the KDE community gathers to exchange ideas for development and to discuss other important topics.

The Akademy 2012 Program Committee is proud to present the Akademy 2012 Sessions. Given the broad nature of KDE, the proposals submitted contained a wealth of interesting and valuable topics. Not everyone can make it to Akademy, although given the number of people here it almost seems like everyone did.

This summer, from the 3th to 11th of July, the KDE community will gather in Tampere, Finland for our yearly summit. We're happy to announce that the full program for Akademy 2010 has been decided upon.

Akademy ES is the yearly meeting of KDE developers and users in Spain. It is organized by the KDE Spain Association, and started in 2008. This year the event was organized in collaboration with the Clúster de Entidades Pro Software Libre de Aragón, the Zaragoza Council and the Fundación Zaragoza Ciudad del Conocimiento. Akademy ES took place during the 18th, 19th and 20th of May 2012.
