http://www.backtrack-linux.org – Airmon-ng used to get stuck in a "while..." loop, and appear to hang. This problem has now been fixed by the aircrack team. As BT uses the SVN version, nothing needs to be removed; simply: Code: root@bt:~# cd /pentest/wireless/aircrack-ng root@bt:/pentest/wireless/aircrack-ng# svn up However, BT seems to have aircrack installed in 2 places (no idea why - anyone explain?). A "which'" command shows: Code: root@bt:~# which airmon-ng /usr/local/sbin/airmon-ng Therefore, in order to use the newly updated version: Code: root@bt:/# cp /pentest/wireless/ (HowTos)

I am trying to crack my WEP key for some days now, and after reading a number of tutorials, I find myself stuck on the same spot all the time.

My wireless adapter chipset is the RTL8188CE, and my system runs ubuntu 11.10. I ran the aircrack-ng.org injection test and everything ran ok, showing me that my card is enabled for injection.

So I follow the aircrack-ng newbie tutorial.

I am making acquiantance with wireless security and attacks and was told to run some tests with aircrack-ng and wireshark.

So I installed both of them and ran airmon to switch wi-fi card to monitor mode:

sudo airmon-ng start ra0 (this is my DWA-140 usb wi-fi adapter) The wi-fi adapter seems to have restarted after that. Gues that's ok.

I am running Lucid Lynx, kernel 2.6.32.23 generic, I have a card with the Broadcom BCM4311, with the STA Linux Wireless driver. I have no idea how to get monitor mode to work with the Aircrack-ng suite's Airmon-ng command. I use the command: sudo airmon-ng start eth1

And I get this output: Found 5 processes that could cause trouble.

I have root my phone, install a custom rom(cyanogen 10) and install backtrack arm like THIS.

Aircrack is correctly installed but airmon-ng don't mount wlan0 on monitor mode.

the chipset displayed is : bcmsdh_sdmmc.

I did some research on this chipset and aircrack on GS3 but i have not found anything

The exact model of my device is : GT-I9300.

I would like to test security of my home wireless network, but I have lot of troubles with aircrack-ng. I am using 12.04 LTS, linux-3.2.0-27-generic-pae. My wireless card is BCM4311 (14e4:4311).

Airmon-ng command not found 38 weeks 1 day ago

In the terminal I go to root folder with

sudo su

an authenticate with my password. But when I type

airmon-ng start wlan0

it shows command not found. What can I do to access airmon-ng command? Thanks

I got problems with Airoplay, and i hope someone can help me.

Airodump and Aircrack-ng works just fine.

First i decided to test if Injection works..

I installed aircrack an hour ago and after I enter this command error occurs and no wifi networks appear in terminal.

Hi all, I wanted to get the whole AirCrack suite and downloaded the aircrack.i586 package with yum. It installed related programs (is this the correct term? programs sounds too Windows...). I know I need to update the drivers, or atleast patch them. So I ran airodriver-ng. Now the issue is with the airodriver-ng part is:
