Since the past two days I have been experiencing crashes of my Debian installation on the Galago UltraPro (galu1). X breaks, and I land at the console while the OS becomes unresponsive. The problem is caused by exerting pressure on the case just below the right Ctrl button. That's, if I rest my wrist on the case while typing, or if I grab the laptop to move it.
Basically WHICH is the better CPU Coolant something like a Corsair H100i or Noctua NH-D15? The premise is just to find out if water cooling or air cooling is best, not the models of represented.
P.S. Guess to the same point is positive over pressure case better than negative pressure?
The posts on the backplate are too tall, so when securing the block with thumbscrews, it won't fit tight and give you good pressure. In my case, temperatures can be dropped by around 10C by pressing on the block with my fingers. I have a 2500k @ 4.5 GHz 1.3V and under Prime95 my hottest core hit 68C (58 with proper pressure) with Corsair's preapplied compound.
I've sadly lost some critical components I now need from my Corsair Obsidian 750D series full tower case. I've opened a support ticket w/ Corsair for help but their replacement parts list is very limited and nothing I want is available for my case.
Parts I need replaced:
- x1 SSD sled
- x1 bag of mounting hardware
Pretty basic stuff. Mainly just need a replacement sled for my SSD.
