http://forums.fedoraforum.org – ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO motherboard with integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 GPU $lspci -v | grep -i vga 01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Device 9710 (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) The PC worked fine under F11. Had to use nomodeset as a boot parameter to get the installer to run. I got tired of using a rescue disk to try a new setting, so changed inittab to 3 so I could use startx Tried: ATI driver, didn't work, and removed driver with script. Tried: system-config-display --noui --set-driver=vesa get a blank screen. Ctrl-Alt-Backspace doesn't quit X, Ctrl-Alt-F1-F7 don't do anything, sometimes see a ghost image of a login screen for a split second. Tried: system-config-display --noui --set-driver=radeon get a blank screen, keyboard and mouse no longer work, have to reboot with button. Does anyone have a configuration that will allow X to work? Tried no xorg.conf, but the system behaves like the radeon driver. Any help welcome! Thanks, Ken (HowTos)
