Problem Description: When I reboot, there's an information: Gave up waiting for root device. Common problems: -- Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline) -- Check rootdisplay = (did the system wait long enough?) -- Check root = (did the system wait for the right device?) -- Missing modules (cat /proc/modules; ls dev) ALERT! /dev/disk/by-uuid/9cf6f563-86d1-47be-bc26-92dd7df35cb3 does not exist. After installing Ubuntu 12.10 I cannot boot my machine anymore. I get the following error.

Hi Guys On trying to boot ubuntu I get the message gave up waiting for root device common problems: -Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline) -Boot rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?) -Check root= (did the system wait for the right device?) -Missing modules (cat /proc/modules; is/dev) ALERT!

My machine shut down and when I rebooted I got the following:

I had a system booting over the network with PXE on 11.10. I upgrade to 12.04 and now the boot fails during startup with the following messsage:

Debian 6.0.4 will not start on my dual boot with Ubuntu 12.04 I installed Ubuntu first but I tried to make Debian the root file system, it's on a partition. I am trying to create a bootable Netbook Remix (2.6.31-14) image on an SDHC card. The machine boots fine from USB and trys to boot from the SDHC but doesn't. I have been able to use Grub2 to load the kernel and initrd images on the SDHC card manually but at boot get a message like:

Im having a boot problem with my Wubi 12.04 system. When Ubuntu starts to boot up, a message will appear in my screen and it's something like:

T#s..... does not exist

Sorry, I couldn't read all the message. Then another message pop-out after Ubuntu loading screen this time the message is this:
