Hi,
I am a recruit for Linux and install FC12 on my PC. The motherboard is ASUS M3N78-CM. The nvidia GeForce 8200 chipset on the motherboard is directlt used for vedio. The driver : NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-190.42-pkg2.run is downloaded from Nvidia website, but it can't drive the chipset successfully. So i can not start X-window. If anyone has a solution to this problem?

Hello
I have a motherboard AsRock N68-S
It has audio onboard VIA VT1708S. It works fine.
I am very surprised when I type this:
Code:
lspci -nn | grep Audio
I got this:
Hi guys,
Running Fedora 10 - via mythdora on a Abit KN9 Ultra motherboard with an AMD Athlon 3800 dual core processor.
Hello!
I have an old computer (2004-era) with this motherboard: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/...Name=GA-8SG800
I know from the specs on the site that it supports only AGP slot video cards.
I looked some new motherboards and most of them has these audio chips:
AUDIO: VT1708B
AUDIO: Realtek ALC1200
AUDIO: Realtek ALC800
Plese, let me know, how can I check, if they are supported in kernel 2.6.30?
I looked at alsa page, and no information I have seen there.

Here you can download the motherboard driver for ASUS P7P55D Deluxe, for Windows. If you need a review of this P7P55D motherboard series, you can visit my web page here.

Continuing in the line of fine ASUS motherboards is their P7P55 Deluxe motherboard.
Hello all,
I used the videocard Geforce 6150 nforce 430 (NV4C) without problems untill the upgrade to kernel > 2.6.32 and nvidia-drivers > 190.*. After the upgrade I can use only nv and vesa in the Gentoo x86_64 and in the Fedora 13 x86_64. When I try to install Geforce 8800 GT everything becomes good with free nvidia-drivers and with proprietary ones in both distributions.
