Advice on Java

http://www.unix.com – Hello, I would like to update java on some of my servers running Solaris 9 & 10. The most common version of java on the servers is java 5. I would like to remove this older version and install java 6, even though it is fully patched. The main program that uses java 6 is NetBackup. This program is not patching their embedded java fast enough. I found a way to use the java on the system instead of the one included with NetBackup. Anyway I'm concerned that if I remove java on the system I will break stuff. The servers have CDE and JVD installed. Most of the uses of the server use CDE. How sh (HowTos)
