http://askubuntu.com – I am not real hi-tech with computers and I don't know if I will understand the solution you may give me, but I will try. I received an e-mail from a friend the other day that had a site to view a movie clip. This time when I clicked on the site a message came up that I needed a new version of Adobe Flash-player plug-in. So I went to a free site to load the latest flash=player for Linux. It downloaded fine but when I went to look at that movie clip I get a message that the flash-player crashed and I clicked on the "send report". Now, anytime I have a movie/video, I can't watch it and I get (HowTos)

I was checking the Adobe web site to see if I had the latest version. As I was looking at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

I see the message that

Flash Player 11.2 is the last supported Flash Player version for Linux. Adobe will continue to provide security updates.

There are versions 11.4 for Mac and windows.

Is Adobe trying to force us to go back to windows?

Youtube says I need Adobe Flash player and that I should get the latest version of Flash player from Adobe. However, when I click on the link, the Adobe site ask me what version of Player do I want: YUM, TAR or RPM.

isn't apt-get the correct command to do this via the command line?

Been having problems with flash, and I really need some help.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall in yast no luck. uninistalled again.

I downloaded and installed Adobe Flash 10 rpm direct from adobe. I shut down firefox and then restarted...went to youtube.... no luck. I get the annoying error:

Ok so I was messing around on a pr0n site (Yes I do that) and I was told to get adobe flash player and I noticed adobe Updated there flash player directly on the market on October 8, 2012 .
