Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) has updated its channel leadership. Mike Parrottino (pictured) is channel chief for the new HP Printing & Personal Systems (PPS) organization. Scott Dunsire now leads HP’s U.S. SMB/Channel sales. And former HP Channel Chief Stephen DiFranco’s new position at HP will be announced “in the near future,” according to a memo from HP to partners.
Rackspace (NYSE: RAX) has launched a Partner Leadership Council that features 10 of its top cloud computing channel partners. The council includes VARs, MSPs, systems integrators, digital marketing agencies, and e-commerce experts that are resell Rackspace’s services and/or leverage Rackspace data centers.

Symantec has named John Eldh (pictured) VP of channel sales for the Americas, succeeding Randy Cochran, who has left the security and storage software company to pursue other opportunities.
Eldh most recently was VP of sales for Symantec.cloud, which includes extensive channel partner components and familiar brands (such as Backup Exec) available on-demand.

Cisco Systems Channel Chief Keith Goodwin is set to exit the networking giant on August 1 — when Cisco (NYSE: CSCO) starts its new fiscal year. Goodwin will stick around as an advisor and a consultant to Cisco’s channel team — even attending the Olympics to meet with partners. But he’s essentially heading off into retirement.

Cisco Systems (NASDAQ: CSCO) is reshuffling channel executives, returning Wendy Bahr, the company’s well-known and highly regarded partner organization veteran, to head its Americas channel organization, replacing Jim Sherriff, who departs after two years to lead sales for the global Accelerated Cisco Transformation (ACT) program.
