http://forum.xda-developers.com – I'n new to XDA. So I decided to show some support in the Forums. I take no Credit for Kindle Fire Utility or Kindle Unbrick V 0.1 Just adding then together. Due to my current Kindle Problem. (I will not go into details) I thought this would be helpful. I would suggest somebody more skilled then me check the code and make sure no Kindles Explode due to this. U will find Kindle Unbrick under Extras. Option 8. Good Day! Download - Here If wanted. I was using "Kindle Fire Utility v0.9.9" with option "3" (install latest TWRP Recovery). I was following a tutorial, but it might have been for a different fireware and version of the utility.

After this it got stuck on the "kindle fire" screen, now nothing recognizes it.

I've attempted to root my kindle fire with the kindle fire utility and it wasn't 100% successful. Im stuck on the kindle fire screen where it's booting up and it's on an endless cycle whether plugged into the computer, or charging through the outlet. It's also completely unrecognized when I do plug it into my laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated to unbrick it.

Ive rooted a few phones and tablets before and have never bricked a device (got close) until now. This kindle fire i believe is truly hard bricked. What happened was, I rooted it with the kindle fire utility, and when it rebooted it was stuck on the kindle fire logo screen. I let it run flat over night, and the next day it was still stuck.

The Kindle Fire 2 is now a part of the 7" Kindle Fire HD forum.

In terms of software, the Kindle Fire 2 is much closer to the 7" Kindle Fire HD than the original Kindle Fire. The two are similarly equipped with locked bootloaders, run ICS and share the same rooting method. Consequently, the KF2 has now been made a part of this 7" KF HD forum.

My Kindle Fire 1st Gen is rooted, but still has stock ROM. I've installed the latest drivers using the Kindle Fire Utility v0.9.6.

But now I can't access the kindle through a USB connected to my PC. So I can't copy a new ROM to the SD card.

When connected to my PC through USB cable, Device Manager shows it as Android ADB Interface - not Kindle.

I have both a Kindle Fire HD and a Nexus 7. I've sideloaded several apps from the Nexus to the Kindle fire - that's no problem. What I wonder is if anyone has done the opposite? The Kindle app on the Nexus 7 is not as good in that:It does not offer the text to speech option Bookmarking leaves a lot to be desired Note taking isn't as good I use my Nexus to proofread ebooks before releasing them.

Hi all,

Earlier yesterday i carried out the rooting procedure that was outlined on Liliputing using the kindle fire utility, the kindle was shown as online, the rooting procedure went without a hitch, i then went to the extras section and installed google play.

I then unplugged the device from my computer and restarted it as described.
