Hello all,
I'm using the 3.5 version of Libre Office and for some reason, I'm completely unable to switch between the workspace tabs (view buttons) in Impress. By default, Impress is in the Normal tab, which works fine. But, if I try to go into Outline view for example, the program immediately closes. I then get a window asking me if I want to file an error report.
I need to convert each slide in a powerpoint presentation to a PNG with the command line. I have tried to convert it to a PDF then to individual PNGs but the images haven't exported properly. These images are graphs originally from Microsoft Excel.
Yesterday Sergio, a user of OpenOffice Impress, sent to the OpenOffice.org discussion list his list of the “Major Gaps of OpenOffice Impress 3.3 vs. Microsoft Office PowerPoint” because “after struggling for over 1 year, sadly he had to stop using Open Office Impress and go back to Microsoft Power Point”.

Thanks.

Then, she asked:
- Libre office is the default, right?
- Right.
- So, if someone gives me a document, by default it will open on Libre Office.
Could anyone tell me what is unreadable in this German version of LibreOffice Impress (3.5)? Just go to File → Export to PDF:
It is impossible to change the windows size to unveil it (bug report). At least I can check this option ...
Whenever I open a power point slide in ubuntu 12.04 it opens correctly in libre office but in addition to the libre office's app for slides another invisible icon appears for each presentation I open. It is visually very distracting. When I have the mouse over the icon it says something like "binary star office importer" or something like that.
In the past I preferred Abiword to Libre Office because it was simpler. However, the currentversion (2.8.6-7) scrunches text together vertically, making it unusable. Hints from previousForum posts suggests that installing Microsoft fonts from the AUR solves the problem. However, this seems like skating on thin ice to me, so I decided to move to Libre Office. The question is how to conver
