My situation is as follows:
I have a Windows 2003 Domain Controller which is also my DNS server. I have 10 Windows XP Pro PC's which all login to domain accounts. I am about the forward my DNS requests to OPENDNS so I can regulate web access but I have (2) PC's that I would like to keep unregulated.
A new domain user cannot access a Sharepoint intranet site - they keep getting prompted with a login box.
Their AD group memberships appear identical to other domain users so I figure this user must need setting up within Sharepoint itself. I added them under Site Settings -> People and Groups -> Team Site Members, however they still cannot login.
Can a Sharepoint guru please help me?
Hi there
This thread is to share my experience or solution of samba domain login of windows client . I had configured a samba server as primary domain controller . Linux DIstro was Cent Os 5.3.
I have configured my Ubuntu server to allow login using Windows AD credentials.
I have added enabled a domain group to login to ubuntu machine(by adding them in sudoer file)
#%mydomain\\domain^users ALL=(ALL) ALL
Now I want to remove the login access of these group members to the machine.
I have a development server with an SQL 2008 EXPRESS instance running on it.
We have a fully working domain in UK and around the world we have user who use VPN ( checkpoint) to connect to or domain.
One of the user in USA has a laptop which he never logged on to before ( it does caches the user login details). Does anyone know how to cache user login information on this laptop.
Alright whats up guys, I have been trying to figure out this problem for days and been pulling my hair. Hopefully you guys can help me.
Alright so I hope you all know how DNS works and how it points to an IP.
Hi,
I'm developing a modular content management system for our clients to edit their web site content, rather than copying the CMS I build onto their domain every time we get a new client, I'd like them all to login to the same system on 1 domain that's configured for each client.
I'd like to direct their login page to cms.mywebsite.com but have the domain name read cms.theirwebsite.com.
I've tried to figure it out for several months, with no success. I have a Windows 2008R2 domain, and one Linux server (first it was Fedora 15, then 16, and now it's Centos 6.2). I am trying to make it member of the domain to the extent possible. Ideally, I would like to login and get authenticated against domain (say, login 'DOMAIN+john').
