I have both a Kindle Fire HD and a Nexus 7. I've sideloaded several apps from the Nexus to the Kindle fire - that's no problem. What I wonder is if anyone has done the opposite?
The Kindle app on the Nexus 7 is not as good in that:It does not offer the text to speech option
Bookmarking leaves a lot to be desired
Note taking isn't as good
I use my Nexus to proofread ebooks before releasing them.
As the description by Amazon, the model is KFTT for Kindle Fire 7 HD.
KFHD or KFTT, is best name???
BTW, all the Kindle Fire model as follow:
1st gen Kindle Fire: Kindle Fire
2nd gen Kindle Fire: KFOT
7HD Kindle Fire: KFTT
WiFi 8.9HD Kindle Fire:WFJWI
WAN8.9"HD Kindle Fire:WFJWA
The Kindle Fire 2 is now a part of the 7" Kindle Fire HD forum.
In terms of software, the Kindle Fire 2 is much closer to the 7" Kindle Fire HD than the original Kindle Fire. The two are similarly equipped with locked bootloaders, run ICS and share the same rooting method. Consequently, the KF2 has now been made a part of this 7" KF HD forum.
I have seen a lot of questions about cases for the Nexus7. I will contribute with my experience with my Verve Folio Stand for Kindle Fire.
I love this case. Simple as that.
It is like rhino skin on the outside and very short durable soft velvet on the inside that sits against your Nexus.
Before I buy a Kindle Fire I wish to know if it is possible to use it to stream MP3
I have a very large collection of Music (all Genre) on a HDD connected to my WiFI router and I want to be able to select and play it (through HiFi system) with a Kindle Fire.
To achieve this I need an App that is similar to MediaMonkey Pro AND an App that allows me to connect to the Kindle remotely from eith
I just got a Kindle Fire HD as gift for Christmas. I somehow prefer it over the Nexus 7 because of the sound and screen quality. But one little problem with the Kindle Fire HD is that unlike Windows, Linux doesnt auto-recognize it.

SWF to Kindle Fire converter can help Kindle Fire users play Flash SWF files on Kindle Fire by converting SWF videos to Kindle Fire supported MP4.
Last night, i was using the Kindle Fire First Aide to restore my kindle fire hd to 7.2.3. After it downloaded the files, it failed on one when flashing. All was fine though. I rebooted back to normal mode and it booted fine, i was using the Kinology rom. I then factory resetted my kindle and after rebooting, it now bootloops all the time.
My question now is.
