f18live no long fit a cd(700m) image... while ubuntu1210 also do so. I cannot believe this. is cd-image(700m) is already outdate.?

I'm running F 16-64 live desktop on a dual-core AMD 7550 with 4G RAM and a separate 300G drive for linux.

My rationale for running the live version is that I'd rather install apps when I want them.

I get this error when running "sudo zypper up" today:

Verified sha256sum correct

1) Create LiveUSB by running # dd if=/path/to/.iso of=/dev/sdb

It went throught without complaint.

I have a Fedora 17 installation that I have been using now for several months with the KDE Desktop.

I'm trying to boot Fedora 17 from a USB, I tried both the DVD version and the one on the main page. I've used: Linux Live USB Creator, Live USB Creator (Fedora-one), and Unetbooting. I also tried after clicking "a" and Code: root=live:CDLABEL=LIVE if=/home/per/Fedora-17-x86_64-DVD.iso of=/dev/sdb Everything failed. Fedora just don't want to install no matter what I'm trying.
