$24M buys the Government an Internet filter which they can install, but cannot stop people bypassing.  Senator Conroy says so.

The hypocrisy is breathtaking.  After listening to two years of unambiguous opposition to the Internet filter proposal, Senator Conroy invariably falls back on the paedophile defence.  Shame on you Sir, shame on you.

It would seem that Senator Conroy is on a mission to shut down the courts.  First step is the Internet filter - with that in place, it won't be possible to break the law related to banned material.  Easy, no more cases before the courts.  What's next?

In an attempt to gauge the real level of support for or against Sen. Conroy's Internet Filter proposal, a large number of IT media outlets are supporting a combined survey.

The Greens have delivered a blunt rejoinder to Senator Conroy's statement this week that Aussies would stand up to a broadening of the net filter by saying, "we are standing up".

Stephen Conroy has ridiculed the suggestion that Australians should have a choice to opt-in or opt-out of the proposed internet filter.
