Hi all,
I had some troubles with installing Black Mesa with wine. Here what i've done to make game run properly. All I'll write you can find in web, but not in the one place. So firstly I'd like to thank all good people sharing their knowledge publicly. I'm sorry if all of those is easy, and I'm only retarded in here.
Running Ubuntu 12.04 and a compiled version of wine 1.5.20 with the patch to run swtor. Nvidia proprietary driver 304.64 Have all the necessary dll files loaded into wine. Start the game with the res at 1000x614 so the login screen will work. Get into the game fine but.. There are no widescreen options in game to choose from.
So, what I'm trying to achieve here is installing the 32bit OpenGL library, as I'm attempting to run some games in Wine, which for whatever reason, only uses the 32bit OpenGL libraries.I've installed the NVIDIA drivers following the tutorial "How To: Nvidia drivers in #!
I have dual-boot Windows XP and Ubuntu partitions.
I have a game that I played in Windows. Previously, I could also play this game in Ubuntu. I simply highlighted the game in Nautilus, and opened the game in Wine.
After a re-install, followed by the recovery of some files, the game cannot now be launched in Nautilus.
Hello,
I'm running Ubuntu Lucid 64 bit, with wine 1.2-rc6 and all relevant video drivers and such, in addition to linux-kernel 2.6.32-24 preempt and an nvidia gtx 260.
I've looked all over the web, and tried most of the cpu affinity tools out there, from schedtools to taskset and to cpulimit, which I compiled myself.
I am trying to install some new Nvidia drivers on my Ubuntu 10.04, because the driver I have now, may be causing some kind of problem. I am running Dungeons and Dragons Online in Wine, and it seems to run quite well on all max settings. But, when I exit the game, my screen turns completely red and I can barely read anything. Its this way for anything that I manage to open.
Salutations!
So I just got my new Lenovo H330 desktop computer. I've installed chrome and tried to play a game via NaCl entitled 'Bastion' but to my horror it says the game requires an OpenGL compatible graphics card.
Ok here is the deal. I have been running this video card fine on Vista and Windows 7 flawlessly. The reason I say this is so that you don't think the card is damaged or that the rest of my computer could not handle it.
Hi everyone.
I installed Half Life 2 recently on steam under wine.
Under the launch options of steam, I've put -novid, so it skips the graphics start and allows me to load a game.
